One time I run into Jiun at the prayer room. As she was praying for me, she told me that I
will receive ridiculous favor throughout this event. It is true.
I have encountered many ridiculous favors in these past two weeks.
前兩個星期的星期六上厠所大量流血，三小時一連5，6次，頭昏腳軟，實在受不了，就只好去急診。急診出來之後，因為我沒有醫療保險，所以星期一馬上打電話去醫院申請補助，小姐告訴我們，初步的賬單已經超過6000 美金，還有許多後續的賬單還沒進來，我才在醫院裏面不到12個小時就這麼貴，聼了覺得病情好像更嚴重了一點。離開醫院之前，曾經踫到一個社工Tiffany，她對我們的事情非常的熱心，她聽到我們的情況，就積極地告訴我們應該怎麼做，結果醫療愛心補助的申請原本應該4到8個星期才有結果的，她不到一個星期就幫我們申請下來，所以在醫院的費用就幾乎都可以豁免，只需要出醫生的費用。 神為我預備了一位很好的社工。
I had bloody diarrhea two weeks ago, 5, 6 times in 3 hours. My head was spinning and I had to go to the
emergency room. That was on a
Saturday. On Monday, I called the
hospital immediately for financial assistant because I had no insurance. The lady told us that our initial bill was
already over $6000, and more bills are coming.
“How can this be? I was there
less than 12 hours.” We met a social
worker, Tiffany, before we left the emergency room. She was very helpful. After she heard of our situation, she helped
us filling out forms and told us what to do.
The applying process for charity discount was supposedly to be 4 to 8
weeks, but she got us approved in less than a week. All my expense in the hospital is waived,
except the doctors. God has provided for
us a very good social worker.
腸胃科的主治大夫 Donna幫我做腸鏡之前，花時間告訴我，我的老大Joshua 很聰明，雖然她只看到他一面，就發現他充滿了好奇心，求知慾很強，和她的二女兒很像，Joshua 若是能夠得到父親的鼓勵， 就更不得了了，她覺得他是那種會做大事的人物。我一直在為 Joshua 禱告，要如何配合 神來建造這個孩子，聼了醫生的話，我很受激勵，很少遇到醫生會教我如何成為一個好父親的，而且說出來的話，和神的時間正好配合。 神為我預備了一位很好的醫生。
My gastroenterologist Donna spent time to tell
me about Joshua, my oldest boy, before she did my colonoscopy. She only saw him once very briefly, “he is a very
smart boy, eager to learn, just like my second daughter. Oh, if Joshua can be affirmed, especially
from his father, he will be someone great.”
Those words were timely words. I
have been praying for Joshua for a while now and was wondering how I could
partner with God to build up this boy.
Her words were great encouragement to me. It is rare to find doctors who teach you how
to be a good dad. God has provided for us a very good doctor.
這個星期有不少朋友關心我們，從世界各地，說要為我禱告、要支持我們，有些還是十幾年沒有聯絡的朋友突然即使出現，我們得到這些支持，心裏覺得很感動，很溫暖，看到 神感動這麼多人關心我們，對我們好到一個地步，讓我們覺得好不配喔，為什麼要對我們這麼好？15年前幫我賣房子的房地產經紀人，15年沒有聯絡了，從別人得知我的情況，打電話給我，要寄抗癌的食物藥品給我，我說我們要回台灣了，她說會幫我寄到台灣去，免費供應。另一個朋友多年沒聯絡了，也是要寄抗癌食物藥品給我。我上網看了一下，這些都是十分昂貴的東西。有人要幫我出醫藥的費用，有人要幫我們出生活的費用。本來以為這次的病會洗劫我們所有的存款，結果看起來每一方面都會有人支付，神真的是一個很好的老闆，沒有虧待我們。
Many friends wrote to us and cared for us this
week from all over the world, praying for us and supporting us. Some of them were friends that we haven’t
talked to for years. It really touched
our hearts and made us feel deeply loved.
For instance, my realtor who sold my house 15 years ago called me and
wanted to send me fighting cancer products.
I told her that we are going back to Taiwan. She said that she will send them to Taiwan
for me, all free of charge. Another
friend also wanted to send me fighting cancer products. I looked up these products online. They are all really expensive stuff,
something I cannot afford on my own.
There are also people who want to cover our medical expense. There are people who want to support our
living expense. I thought this illness
will wipe out our bank account. But now
it seems that every expense will be covered.
God is truly a good boss, treating us with full of mercy and grace.
我從前知道我是 神所愛的，所喜悅的，這次我真的體驗到了，經歷到了。
I knew that I am His favorite and His
delight. This time, I have truly
experienced it and tasted it.
